The campaign isn't terrible, in fact, it's largely competent. But because of a lack of inspiration and a pretty crummy checkpoint system, Bad Company 2's single-player game is just plain not fun
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a great game, with astounding visuals, but it can be a little bit disappointing to the old Company fans. Linear and in some way over scripted, wide open spaces are now replaced by more tightened ones, but they can be completely flattened thanks to the evolved Frostbyte 2.0 engine.
BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY 2 is an outstanding game. I fell in love with it's online multiplayer the day I bout it. I was a keen BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY player for 3 years and found little wrong with it's online play. But I soon saw what it could have been when BFBC2 was released. SINGLEPLAYER
Modern Warfare is the obvious benchmark, and Bad Company 2 meets and even passes it with ease. But it's the high bar it sets for a genre mired in complacency that makes it so invigorating. 9 / 10
In order from most important targets to least important: 1) Enemy Helicopters – For reasons I shouldn’t need to explain, these things need to die. Fast. 2) AA Guns – Be careful fighting these they’ll push you around absurd amounts. 3) UAV – The machine gun will hurt pretty bad if ignored.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 evolves on such a successful formula seemingly balanced between realism and gaming. Unlike your run of the mill twitch-action shooters, BBC2 encourages players to play as a team rather than a multitude of individuals running a muck with only the intent to score the most points.
