Driver's lower heated seat not working. The arse section of the driver's seat in our cpo 535i just went kaput. The back section gets hot and the passenger seat is fine. I've checked the idrive settings and even with the power directed at the bottom section only it's not right. The lower side bolsters are working fine but the center section is cold. As I know it’s pretty direct plug and use the module in the original E92 seats and install on the new seats. All functions works properly: all directions of seats adjustments including side bolsters, and the 2 memories. And the F82 seats seems lighter than the original E92 M3 seats. Appreciate 1. Ervin87. The heated seats on the 7 series are TRULY HEATED seats, on the F30, they're more like seat "warmers". So, if you do go aftermarket, be aware not all are equal. It was really nice having the super-hot seats on the 7 against my back, but I can see where some folks would. have found it too hot. 6. replace new heated wheel ring-bolt on. 7. lay down heater wire harness onto wheel center. 8. connect all the wires and replace airbag/button pod. swapping the steering wheel is pretty easy but getting the parts and understanding them can be confusing especially if you never seen or heard of them before. The electronic seat heating control switches off the power supply to the heating mats if the battery voltage in the vehicle is less than 11.4 V Β±0.3 V. The function LEDs however remain on. Power supply to the heating mats is restored when the battery voltage is greater than 12.2 V Β±0.3 V for at least 5 seconds. The lights all work fine (ie the heat level Some common causes of a heated seat not working include: Faulty fuse. Faulty heated seat power switch. Dirty or corroded seat plug. Faulty thermistor. Faulty heating element. You can troubleshoot these elements yourself, or a mechanic can take a look at your heated seat for you to see what the problem might be. For the uninitiated, this is a string of alpha-numeric codes reflect exactly with which options that car left the factory. (source: Understanding BMW's ZCS System β€” Bimmer Coding NA) Most importantly here, in the VO, is the specific alpha-numeric code for the heated seat option, which is S494, also seen as $494. Fredo showed you where BMW located the seat heating controls and as he noted, BMW heated seats have three temperature settings, not two. Second, your seats have been reupholstered--that is not OE material and the panel construction does not match either the E46 sport seat or standard seat. (The stuff-it-yourself "adjustable" lumbar support Joe-Maybe you have checked this, but under the seat each heating element (seat cushion and seat back) has a separate plug that plugs into the harness, check and make sure the cushion element is plugged in, hopefully it isn't so easy fix. More likely it is a broken heating element. E6Cj.
